Those of you who have been out to visit us in sunny Solana Beach have heard for nearly two years of our plans to put sod in the backyard.  Between my city council campaign last year and other projects inside and outside the house, we never got around to it.  Finally, we did it! We actually went with grass seed instead of sod, which was mostly a cost consideration with the two mutts and their propensity to pee wherever they feel like it.  So we now have grass and we also put mulch around all the various palm and fruit trees.  This past weekend we bought new patio furniture so that we can actually enjoy everything.  We hope to see as many of you as possible this year and are always happy to host friends and family (especially those who are handy with a toolbox!).
